Raise has partnered with our client, a Canadian company with over 25 years of success in the sales and service of refrigerated transport equipment. The client is seeking to hire an IT service desk support professional with at least 2-5 years of experience at their Brampton location to support their growing business.
about position
- This is a full-time permanent position out of HQ in Brampton on a full-time regular basis to work full-time core hours and be available for on-call emergency and troubleshooting on a rotational basis with incentive pay (Support Calls on emergency basis). Working out of HQ in multiple locations in Ontario will require on-site visits (very infrequent) if/ as needed.

Your Role
As their new IT Service Desk Analyst, you will be reporting to the IT Manager, working in the office environment, and be responsible fo
- Serve as the point of contact to our users in the organization as it relates to IT related requests and resolutions.
- Utilize a ticketing system to track and resolve issues, escalating where necessary.
- Be required to work with iPhones, desktops, laptops, tablets, servers, printers, TV’s, shop clocks, Avaya phones, security systems, and our network.
- Be accountable for user issues daily and must possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrate strong organization skills which are extremely important in this fast-paced, growing company.
Qualification:
- Associate degree in computer technology and/or related field.
- Certifications such as MCP, A+ preferred.
- Two (2) to five (5) years of prior experience providing IT support.
- The ability to prioritize, be attentive to details, maintain confidentiality, and provide exceptional client service is required.
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and computer skills required.
- Knowledge of scripting in either Batch, PowerShell, or any other programming language is an asset.
- An understanding of cloud technologies such as Office 365, Azure is an asset.
- Able to assist with projects and assignment as needed.
- Proficient in working in a fast-paced environment and multi-tasking to meet deadlines.
- Valid Driver’s License.
